1960 to 1979 - Green Acres is the Place to Be!

Goodbye San Francisco... and hello Fallbrook! When Chuck and Paulette started thinking about retirement, they thought of a little town called Fallbrook. It had beautiful rolling hillsides, fresh air, avocado farms, golf course, and beautiful homes with acreage!

Photo above is of Paulette and Chuck before they moved to the country. I don't have to tell you that Paulette (as shown here) knows her way around Bloomingdale's! Chuck too... very debonair!

Photo above is of Paulette, Juliette (still BFF), and Richard Tiernan. The "Go Away" mat was a joke. Actually, Paulette and Chuck always opened their beautiful home in Fallbrook to all of their many friends and family members. They were wonderful hosts, and Paulette was a gourmet cook. Wow! What fun dinner parties they had at this place!

As my mother points out... if you explode the above photo, you will see a cigarette in Juliette's hand. OOPS!

Quote from my mother: "Gigi, please remove that photo of Paul Serna from the blog... I don't like it." Sorry Mom.

Paulette and Juliette are off to Europe again! In photo above, the two girls are on a boat tour of the Seine River in Paris. They are just hanging out and having fun. As usual!

Paulette and Chuck had a beautiful lanai/patio with terraced garden and pond in their home in Fallbrook. It was a beautiful home with big rooms. Great for entertaining, which they both loved to do.

Above photo of Paulette, Juliette, and Juliette's poodle du jour (named Pet after Paulette) in Louis Vilelle's yard facing the Bay in Newport Beach. It was a Tuesday, no doubt.

Above photo is Paulette and her Uncle Louis Vilelle in Newport Beach... I can't tell you the exact year. However, I can tell you it was a Tuesday. Louis used to call it Surprise Tuesday, and it was his favorite day. Every Tuesday, Paulette, Juliette, and Pierre would drive from Fallbrook to Newport Beach to spend the day with Louis. Paulette would cook his food for the week. Juliette would clean. And Pierre would take Louis for a drive, cause trouble, you know... the usual stuff Pierre would do. (just kidding... Pierre would help too.)

Mom tells me that before Paulette and Chuck decided on moving to Fallbrook, Chuck was looking at buying a pig farm in Montana. Maybe Chuck was just teasing Paulette, and I think that is so funny!
